About The Episode
I had a delightful crafty time and conversation with a lovely paper crafter Friday night. In Episode #36 we got to spend time with Jessica Taylor from Ink It Up With Jessica. I found Jessica on FB. She has a "Show & Tell" post every Sunday evening which I enjoy. What a sweet crafter she is, too! She has a simple card style perfectly matched to her "cards are made to be shared" philosophy. Her simple styled cards, however, are super cute and clean. Scroll down to see for yourself!
The parameters were "clean", too, without a crazy combo! So clean and cute, Jessica and I both were able to make two card each! That may have been a first. Thank you, Jessica, for taking time out of your schedule to join us for some spinning FUNN. I think your fans enjoyed watching your process and getting to know more about you, too. Thank you!
During this episode, you'll learn...
- would Laura Ingalls Wilder stamped?
- how direct sales companies give us unique vocabulary
- what kind of stamps Jessica looks for first in a new catalog
- ideas beget ideas
- the best reason to stamp a slanted sentiment
Better put on a sweater before you look at this week's submissions (I know, most of you have already looked before reading this! tee hee). There is a lot of frost on the paper with all the blues, the shimmer, and the snowflakes, of course. There is also a LOT of cute ideas and brilliantly made cards. Thank you so much, contributors, for playing along with us this week! I have so much FUNN opening each email.
If you could change just one of the parameters this week, what would it be?
Do you want to make that for us to see?
Could you post it in our Craft Roulette FB group?
Craft Roulette Facebook Group - please answer the questions & agree to the rules to join us!
There is Craft Roulette FB Group you can join. Just be sure to answer ALL of the questions AND click to agree to the rules! By doing so, I can protect the group from “bots”, etc. Thank you!
In the group we highlight some of submissions during the week, give you updates on our Guest Crafters, and you can submit projects based on past Craft Roulette parameters after the submission board is closed. Join us and bring a friend.
CR is all about exploring and having FUNN with creativity. I loved Jessica's take on creativity.
- you can be creative
- she still thinks she is not creative sometimes
- don't compare yourself
- we all have our own style
- it is better to make a card & send it to someone than hoard (oops for me)
- cards are made to be shared
And we are sure glad you shared this week with us.
It is our crafting friends like you that make Craft Roulette so FUNN. Thank you very much for joining us in "the peanut gallery", by sharing our links, by supporting our Guest Crafters, by contributing your projects, and for encouraging each other. You make every spin special. Thank you. SEE YOU NEXT FRIDAY!
